The Arts are alive and well in the little town of Edisto! Edisto supports its own museum full of historical artifacts from our islands rich past, and even features exhibits on loan from the Smithsonian! The Edisto Island Museum

With These Hands Gallery has recently relocated to 547 Hwy 174 in the Edisto Center next to the US Post Office. They were formerly located next to The Old Post Office Restaurant and have been in business for over 30 years.

With These Hands Gallery strives to be the means by which Americans can see, feel and ultimately appreciate the wonders that lie in store for them in American Art. You will find no imports or shiny mass-produced items. Instead, With These Hands Gallery proudly displays the works of both local artisans and nationally recognized artists. Edisto Island Open Land Trust

The Edisto Island Open Land Trust is committed to protecting Edisto from high density commercial development and involving the community in Edisto's preservation. Members of the EIOLT enjoy fun and exciting events and volunteer opportunities. A youth program is focused on getting the local and visiting children involved in conservation. Throughout the year parties, oyster roasts, auctions, golf tournaments, and a wide variety of seminars are hosted by the EIOLT. Joint today.

Edisto Beach Shag Fest

Labor Day weekend at Bay Creek Park. Three days of music, dancing and fun! Gates open at 11 am, Music starts at 12, daily admission required, kids under 12 are free. Many vendors, food trucks, dance competitions, expositions, and more!! Bring your chairs, NO coolers allowed.
